Survivors Speak theme: “From Healing to Action” aims to elevate the voices of crime victims, particularly from communities most affected by crime, to share our stories, heal together, and call for new safety priorities that put our experiences at the center of efforts to reduce crime, improve community health, reform our criminal justice system, and advocate for smart justice policies that transform families, communities, states, and the country. Survivors Speak hosted during National Crime Victims Rights Week will include a week of virtual activities starting with a National Virtual Healing Vigil on April 18th and ending with our Survivors Speak Virtual Conference on April 24th. Register now to join us on Saturday, April 24th for the national virtual conference. We expect hundreds of crime survivors and community leaders from across the country to be in attendance.
Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice is a national network of crime survivors joining together to create healing communities and shape public policy. We are a flagship project of the Alliance for Safety and Justice. With over 46,000 members and growing, including chapters and leaders across the country, we are sharing our stories, healing together, and advocating for smarter policies that can prevent crime, improve the justice system, and better support survivors, our families, and our communities.
